What is digital accessibility? Digital accessibility means that digital information can be accessed and used by all, without barriers for specific individuals or communities. Digital accessibility is:
- Defined by established international standards
- Required by federal US regulations and internal U-M policy
- Designed to ensure usability for people with a range of disabilities, access needs, and devices
Panorama supports accessibility by running automated checks, showing status information, and providing tools for improvements. However, your role is the most essential, as you utilize automated tools and follow guiding principles of to make progress and promote access.

Find and Use Panorama
Log in to Canvas and navigate to any course, page, or module.
- Open the Accessibility Report for a specific item such as a page or file in your course by selecting the Accessibility Icon next to that item



- From the Accessibility Report, use the Fix Issue button to fix accessibility issues in your content
- Use the overall course score to identify areas for improvement, by selecting Panorama from the left-side navigation in your course and opening the Course Report
