Canvas Accessibility

Creating course content or training materials in Canvas? The Canvas Accessibility service provides tools for instructors, instructional support staff, and students to make sure that course content in Canvas meets accessibility standards and provides equitable access to learners with disabilities.

Canvas Accessibility uses the industry-leading Canvas accessibility add-on, Panorama, by Yuja. This product will eventually replace UDOIT for Canvas accessibility

During winter term 2025, we are rolling out Panorama in Canvas as part of our Digital Accessibility Strategic Initiative. Panorama will be rolled out in stages, and more information, communications, and training will continually be made available.

    • Integrated Accessibility Improvements: Correct digital content accessibility directly within editable HTML areas in Canvas
    • Advanced Reporting and Scans: Reporting available for administrators and instructions to identify accessibility issues and usage
