Ross Raises the Bar on Digital Accessibility

Side-by-side portraits of two people: on the left, a person with long, light blonde hair wearing a light-colored sweater in an indoor office setting with plants in the background; on the right, a person with dark hair pulled back, a gray beard, small hoop earrings, and a black button-down shirt in front of a solid blue background.

At the Ross School of Business, Don DuChateau and Sheri Fillip have turned digital accessibility from a box to check into a full-on community movement. As Ross IT’s Digital Accessibility Liaisons, they launched an internal working group, expanded it into a schoolwide network, and built outreach channels for more than 30 website and subsite content managers. They also set up individual site scans across Ross’s multisite environment, guided remediation efforts, and delivered hands-on training and practical resources along the way.

Their leadership guided critical technology decisions, including selecting the accessibility-focused Kadence WordPress ecosystem during the CMS migration, ensuring accessibility was built into the framework from the beginning.

Because of their leadership, the Ross community now has greater awareness, better tools, and a growing culture of accountability in creating accessible, inclusive digital content.
