Assistive Technology Consultations

Assistive technology evaluations are an opportunity for members of the University of Michigan community to explore high-tech accommodation options for a temporary or permanent disability.

Students

Current and prospective students connected with the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) can contact their coordinator to arrange an evaluation.

Faculty & Staff

Current faculty/staff members who have medical documentation of disability can contact the Disability Equity Office. Faculty and staff who are affiliated with LS&A can also contact the LSA Disability Navigators.

Other Current Members of the U-M Community

ITS Assistive Technology staff can provide evaluations for current members of the U-M community who are not covered by SSD or other faculty/staff services. There is no charge for the evaluation and no proof of disability is required. Contact assistive technology staff.

U-M Affiliates

Assistive Technology staff members are able to provide limited informational support to alums, retirees, and emeritus faculty.
